We slowly began buying scrap and waste materials from peddlers. Then came the learning curve of grading materials, classifications and understanding our market specifications.
What had initially started as the recycling of only non-ferrous metals, quickly grew and expended to the recycling of many other items. We are proud to say that our domain of expertise and knowledge now includes the recycling of most recyclable items, such as non-ferrous and ferrous metals, plastics, paper, cardboard and E-scrap.
1986-2000
We slowly began buying scrap and waste materials from peddlers. Then came the learning curve of grading materials, classifications and understanding our market specifications. In these early years our nonferrous scrap was cleaned, cut, sorted and loaded for export to Florida.
2003-2010
Haiti Recycling continued to grow throughout the ensuing decades. The company expanded into ferrous scrap processing in 2003 and then into plastics in 2008. Along the way it also added batteries, specialty metals and recovered paper.
2010-2021
We create value out of trash. As our company continues to grow the volume and diversity of the materials it recycles, its business operations also have grown in sophistication. Today, Haiti Recycling’s operations is a team of approximately 300 employees.

All material is sorted closely according the specifications published by the U.S.-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and to customers’ requirements. We are devoted to being a consistent supplier.
We work hand and hand with smaller entrepreneurship cells. We do not organize waste recollection nor use municipal collection of waste and/or scrap materials. All the scrap brought to our plant is duly weighted. Purchase price varies according to quantity, segregation and type of material.
